The required firearms course to become an armed security officer in Virginia.

• Semi-auto handgun mechanics

• Proper grip, stance & trigger control

• Live-fire range qualification (DCJS required course of fire)

Who needs it:

• Anyone applying for armed security officer registration

• Must have or be completing 01E (unarmed entry-level)

Outcome:

• Qualifies you to carry a handgun on duty

• Adds firearm endorsement to your DCJS registration
