What it covers:

• Firearm safety rules & safe handling

• Legal use of force (Virginia law)

• Weapon mechanics (semi-auto handgun)

• Proper grip, stance, trigger control

• Live-fire range qualification (course of fire required by DCJS)

Who needs it:

• Anyone applying for an armed security officer registration

• Must already have or be completing 01E (unarmed entry-level)

Outcome:

• Qualifies you to carry a handgun on duty

• Adds firearm endorsement to your DCJS registration
